Person one: "Why does Lady Gaga say 'cherry cherry boom boom' in so many of her songs?" Person two: "It's the pseudonym of her producer. Sort of how Sean Kingston annoyingly says "JR" at the beginning of all of his songs."

Boom De Ah Dah

"Boom De Ah Dah" is something you say, sing, yell etc., when you are very happy, and wish to state to your surroundings that you love the world.
It is known from Discovery Channel's advertisements, in which various people from Discovery (including Myth Busters, Bear Grylls, Mike Rowe and Richard Machowicz) sing a song called "The World is Just Awesome" together with a wide variety of people non-famous people, or people not known from Discovery (Astronauts, monks, Stephen Hawking, etc.)

I love the whole world, and it's such a brilliant place! Boom De Ah Dah!

licky boom boom down

This is NOT what Daddy Snow says in his hit song "Informer". He says "a licky boom-boom dem" (not "down"), which means that the informers are ass-kissers. Any Jamaican knows this. "Licky boom boom down" has no meaning, and it's not what Snow is saying either. It's just a mis-heard lyric by people who don't understand Jamaican Patois. a "licky boom boom" is an ass-licker or ass-kisser. The "dem" at the end refers to "them", the informers. They are ass-kissers.

"Informer, you know seh Daddy Snow mi a go blame. A licky boom-boom dem" (Informer, you know that I Daddy Snow am gonna blame. They're ass-kissers). "Licky boom boom down" means nothing.

And exclamation used mostly by Black girls in South Florida in...especially in the 1980's...its basically an exclamation like, "Chile please," or "No she DIH-int!" or to add emphasis for something good that just happened or to comment on a diss.

After someone reveals some juicy gossip that you've been waiting to hear..."MM! Honey BOOM!" That was GOOD!

After someone just told another person off really well and you want to give your approval, say, "Honey BOOM!"

"Honey BOOM!"....I KNOW, I look good in my new jeans.
