Authoritarian Financialization

A critical term for how financialization—the domination of finance over the productive economy—operates as an authoritarian force. Totalitarian Financialization

It trains people to think of themselves as portfolios, to optimize their credit scores, and to accept that financial risk is the horizon of all decision-making. Totalitarian financialization is the internalization of finance as destiny—where even resistance is calculated in terms of return on investment.

Authoritarian Precarization

A critical term for how precarization—the spread of unstable, contingent, insecure work—functions as an authoritarian mechanism. Precarious workers cannot afford to dissent, to organize, or to demand rights. The threat of losing one’s livelihood is the most effective discipline: it turns workers against each other, forces compliance, and eliminates resistance. Authoritarian precarization is rule by fear of falling, where insecurity is not a bug but a feature—a quiet, economic authoritarianism.

Authoritarian Precarization Example: “She knew speaking up about safety violations would get her hours cut. Authoritarian precarization: the whip of uncertainty, more effective than any boss’s shout.”

Totalitarian Precarization

An extreme form of authoritarian precarization, where insecurity becomes total—encompassing work, housing, health, and social belonging. People live in a state of chronic emergency, never able to plan, trust, or hope. Totalitarian precarization dissolves solidarity, commodifies every relationship, and leaves individuals atomized and desperate. It is the totalitarian control of life through the engineered absence of stability, making everyone a supplicant to the next contract, the next gig, the next arbitrary decision by an algorithm or manager.

Example: “He had three ‘jobs,’ lived in a weekly motel, and had no health insurance—his entire existence was a month‑to‑month negotiation. Totalitarian precarization: freedom as constant collapse.”

Authoritarian Uberization

A critical term for the way Uberization (the gig‑economy model of precarious, algorithm‑managed labor) functions as authoritarian control. Workers are subjected to opaque algorithms, instant deactivation without due process, and surveillance that monitors every movement. There is no appeal, no union, no stability. Authoritarian Uberization replaces the employer‑employee relationship with a system of absolute, unaccountable power that demands total flexibility while offering zero security. It is the authoritarian face of the gig economy.

Example: “A glitch in the app deactivated his account—no income, no explanation, no human to talk to. That’s authoritarian Uberization: rule by algorithm, with no right to reply.”

Totalitarian Uberization

A more extreme version of Authoritarian Uberization, arguing that the gig platform model is totalitarian in its ambition to govern every aspect of workers’ lives. From scheduling to performance feedback, from pay rates to social credit scores, the platform seeks total control. It does this not through overt coercion but through seamless integration: workers voluntarily surrender autonomy because the platform is their only access to work. Totalitarian Uberization is the normalization of absolute employer power hidden behind an app’s friendly interface.

Example: “The app tracked his location off the clock, docked pay for breaks, and even rated his ‘reliability’ based on personal reviews. Totalitarian Uberization: the platform as panopticon.”

(7) vexpert --- a human-nature guru with extensive experience on what pushes people's buttons; again --- as in da first example above --- presumably he uses said know-how to help **reduce** already-existing frustration/distress in others, not to purposely exhibit destructive behavior dat would cause people to **become** wound up when they had felt reasonably calm before! Traditional Authoritarian Society 

It is political-philosophical and spiritual thought about a vigilant state based on authority to restore tradition.

Through a provisional state led by (non-elected) aristocrats, after the overthrow of the liberal-democratic state and party parliamentarism, a period of dictatorship of restoration of ethical principles is established and traditional moral values. All liberal-bourgeois values like Socialism and Communism (Egalité), Liberalism and Progressivism (Liberté), Democracy (Fraternité) are replaced by holistic values. The restoration of culture takes place through the censorship of the mass media and other means of communication, the restructuring of schools and the education system, and the resurgence of the fine arts.
The free-market capitalist economy is replaced by Organic State intervention, replacing transnational companies and large enterprises by antitrust laws to abolish the irregular exploitation of raw materials, minerals and cartels, but not private property. Suppress the class struggle through intermediary bodies, restoring dignity to workers and enterprises. The Secular State and the free creed are abolished, rebuilding the Traditional Spiritual State. The Democratic State of Law, the Liberal Constitution, the International Treaties are dissolved, respectively, and, in their place, the Natural Law is instituted. The military aristocracy (police and army) is called upon to contain internal and external threats. Subversive demonstrations are prohibited.

Traditional Authoritarian Society is the way of using the state's monopoly on the use of force to restore Tradition.
