1. The sound one makes after being told an extremely bad, old and/or corny joke.

2. A way to describe an old, obvious and/or corny joke.

Derived from the trumpet sound from the golden age cartoons after a very obvious joke or gag was performed.

Example 1:
Roger made so many bad plays on words, in leiu of calling himself "funny" he called himself, "Punny."

The crowd responded with a "WHANT WAH!"

Example 2:
The joke was so bad it was referred to as a "whant wah" joke.

This particular line appears in the 2017 adaptation of the Mortal Kombat game, from Ghana's Kumawood scene. The line is spoken by Marsuel Hoppe, who plays Shao Kahn, the armored tyrant from the video game. Kumawood productions are typically low-budget and quickly produced.

This line is an absolute declaration of martial arts militancy and the desire to fight even is your opponent is suing for peace.

This quote was used with great effect by Niki Haley during the 2023 Surrender Day Eve Republican debates.

The only woman on stage, she used this saying to attack the “Demi-masculine MAGA boys” surrounding her.

Haley herself attributed this saying to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher; and Harley’s delivery was flawless and absolutely castrating!

A common response to the superfluous wants of someone in which situation there is either no ability or desire to respond to said wants. In other words, people in hell may want ice water, but the Devil has no desire to give it to them because they're in hell and now they have to deal with it.
