Antonov An-2

The Antonov An-2 was made by Oleg Antonov. It was first flown in August 1947. The An-2 appeared a blunder in the Antonov market, being a biplane compared with some more complex planes. It could fly at 258 kilometers per hour and for 900 kilometers with a 500 kilogram payload. It could carry at maximum 2050 kilograms. This plane was made in the masses; at least 5000 An-2s were made before the USSR gave responsibility to Poland, where an additional 7500 were produced. China also produced another 5000, putting to a total of around eighteen thousand An-2s produced.

Mi-17 HIP H

The Mi-8 HIP is a multipurpose helicopter that can be used as a troop carrier, cargo, or attack helicopter. The first Mi-8 flew in January of 1960. The Mi-8 HIP was made by Mil Moscow. The Mi-8 HIP comes in eight variations: HIP C the standard assault / carrier, HIP D the communications, HIP E the modified assault, HIP H (mi-17) the carrier, HIP J the jammer, HIP K the modified jammer, HIP G (Mi-9) the airborne command, and the Mi-14 the naval version. The Mi-17 HIP H is a transport helicopter. The HIP H is characterized by 5 main rotor-blades, a starboard triple-bladed tail rotor, twin turboshaft engines, and tricycle landing gears. The HIP H’s engines are special because one engine can die and the other will automatically increase output. At least 22 countries still fly the Mi-17 HIP H.

A-34 Comet

The A-34 Comet was a British World War II tank. It was introduced in 1944, and made it to the front in 1945, a bit late. It was a revised version of the A-27 Cromwell with the 17-pounder battery from the Vicker’s Mark VI. Though it arrived too late, it was the best British tank.

Casspir

The Casspir was introduced in the late 1970s. It was used by the South African police force and military. It was a mine-protected APC. The Casspir could withstand 21kg of TNT under any wheel or 14kg of TNT under the hull. The Casspir has an open roof. It has firing ports under the bulletproof windows to allow the protected passengers fire out into any enemy outside the Casspir. The Casspir was one of the best MPVs because it was cheap and easy to repair. The Casspir also had an advantage in the bush. It was high up and gave the driver a good view and it had a low center of gravity which made it very stabile.

BMP-1

The BMP-1 is a Soviet amphibious troop carrier. It was introduced in 1967. It was armed with a bore gun and AT-3 Sagger. It could seat eight passengers in addition to the three crew members. The passengers could fire out of small holes about large enough for the muzzle of an AZ47 while inside the BMP-1 through small holes on the sides.
