frell

swear-word invented for use in the Farscape series - usually as an adjective, "frelling".

I can't get the frelling spaceship to take off cos there's a frelling alien glued to the frelling ignition pipeline and because of this the frelling engine room is a total pile of frell.

giak

Monster from the world of Magnamund (Joe Dever's Lone Wolf), similar to an orc but with grey skin. Giaks are fierce but stupid, and easily frightened unless led by stronger monsters such as Gourgaz.

A Giak has just eaten my sister. Oh dear, what a pity! She can't annoy anyone any more.

Gourgaz

A large green reptilian monster, often used as a commander of Giak units in the armies of the Darklords in the world of Magnamund (Joe Dever's Lone Wolf). Native to the Maakenmire swamp, and with a frighteningly high Combat Skill (i.e. nearly impossible to beat without cheating).

You see a gourgaz coming towards you. Do you want to:

1. run away (recommended)
2. fight it (you're on something, aren't you?)
3. use your Kai Discipline of Running Away
4. run away even faster
5. faint

turn to page 165 (you're dead anyway).

kraan

A large red winged pterodactyl-like monster in the world of Magnamund (Joe Dever, Lone Wolf) - rarely ridden, but often used as shock troops to pick off enemies in battles, and occasionally to carry other monsters. Watch out - they swoop from above, keep away from hills in Lone Wolf 1

You can see a kraan circling the hill. Do you want to:

1) climb the hill and get killed, or
2) go under the hill and get killed by a burrowcrawler instead?
