Pronunciation : Ngwian (Ngw as a diphthong, pronounced simultaneously; ng as in si"nging" & normal w).
1. Common Vietnamese surname.
2. Many Thais use this word to call Vietnamese person/people, but pronounce "Ngian" instead, which sounds similar to another Thai word for "horny", so we use it in a mocking way when we meet them in national football matches.

- A district (amphur, pronounced as um-per) of Chonburi Province, Thailand, where the hot sauce was truly originated.
- A very well known hot sauce, as well as favourite sauce for many people. But most don't know their sauce (Tuong Ot from Huy Fong Foods) is Vietnamese one, and it's different in spiciness to Thai one, which is an insult to the true, original sauce to us Thais.

Like the word "Malingsia" that some Indonesians use to call Malaysia, it's used by Cambodians because they believe Thailand steals things they 'own'.
They also call us Copyland despite not doing some good research before.
