Dr. Syntax

The world's first ever non-animated cartoon character created in 1809 by British artist Thomas Rowlandson. His appearance is that of a scrawny and eccentric elderly clergyman/schoolmaster. He was hugely successful, spawning many imitators and even creating the first ever market for tie-in merchandise.
Without Dr. Syntax, famous characters like Mickey Mouse, Bonzo the Dog and Felix the Cat wouldn't have had their iconic cartoony designs.

Sophisticated Brit Delusion

When a non-British person deludes himself/herself and thinks that all British people are nice and sophisticated which is really not true most of the time. There's rude and uncultured people everywhere, no matter what nationality you are.
American: Sometimes the people over here in the U.S. are so rude. I just wonder what it's like living in the U.K. where people are a lot nicer.

British person: Oh Hell no! I'm British and most of us here aren't bloody nice! You must be suffering from a case of sophisticated Brit delusion.

21st Century Digital Boy

A term that pretty much describes a guy living in the 21st century who is really obsessed with technology. Inspired by the Bad Religion song of the same name released in 1990 (some may think the song predicted the future but all the digital stuff was already going on around the band during the early 90s).
My brother was known for being a 21st century digital boy as he would always be on his phone and game online.

Pre-Internet Meme

Basically, a meme that existed way before the evolution and popularization of the internet. Memes have actually been around as long as 2,000 years with the oldest one in history being the Sator Square.

Some of the most notable pre-internet memes are Killroy Was Here, Frodo Lives, Bert Is Evil and Andre the Giant Has a Posse.
To be honest, I prefer pre-internet memes over 2010s memes. But unfortunately, there wasn't any internet to post them back then so I highly doubt anyone back then who shared Frodo Lives even knew who Frodo Baggins was or what Lord of the Rings even was considering how like I said, there was no internet back then.

Opabinia

A prehistoric sea creature that existed during the Cambrian period. Mainly looking very unusual and alien-like from most modern sea creatures today.
I personally find the Opabinia to be way cooler than the tyrannosaurus rex.

Memed in the Meat

A phrase used to describe someone or something that has been ruined by memes. 'Meat' being another word for 'butt' (as a reference to someone getting anal raped).
Things like Shrek, John Cena, Hitler, Autism, and Donald Trump are constantly memed in the meat.

Run From the Times

A saying which states that one does not follow modern culture, no matter how good it may be (this is mainly due to people who were unsatisfied with the pop culture they grew up with and thus do not get with the times anymore).
A lot of 2010s kids run from the times pretty young.
