Its a new thing going around on sites where you can talk to your friends like MySpace or FaceBook. You talk like someone is talking about the person and your talking about them.

Why, Wassup?

Basically when somebody posts a "Why, Wassup?" status on Facebook and you like it, their essentially pretending to describe you to a another person as if the person asked if they knew you.

Started in New Jersey.

Kristen? My best friend? The really pretty one? The one I love? The one I can trust? The one that knows how to play volleyball? The one that's smart? The one who is a cheerleader? The one who makes me laugh? Yeah, I know her. Why, wassup?

A term used on FaceBook. Post "why whassup?" as your status and when/if people like it you leave a message on their wall. The message is how you would describe this person if someone asked you if you knew him/her.
