Déjà vu

To experience Déjà vu, as I was once told by a video game playing friend, is when you have died in real life and gone back to a previous 'Checkpoint'. Déjà vu just means that you can remember something from a life lost.

Me: Whoa, weirdest feeling of Déjà vu

Nathan: Whatever you think you should do, don't do it. It didn't work last time

Me: What the fuck are you on about?

Nathan: Mate, you lost a life just be careful, you don't know how many you have left

Musical Deja Vu

When you have a strong feeling that you have heard a familiar song before and you associate it with a time or an emotion, but you aren't exactly sure when or where you have heard the song. This usually occurs most strongly at the beginning of the song, but can last the entire duration as well.

When the otherwise seemingly happy song came on, Paul felt nostalgic and a bit depressed, although he wasn't sure why. He was experiencing musical deja vu.

I hate it when I get musical deja vu because I can't remember where I heard the song before.

Something that very few people know the true meaning of. Even though deja vu is French for "already seen", it actually is used to describe the strange feeling you get when you're in a situation, and feel like you've been in the exact same situation before, but really haven't. Most people think it means the same thing happening twice, which is wrong. Get it right people!

Jack: Hrmm..
Bob: What?
Jack: I could have sworn I've been here before. But I know I haven't.
Bob: Heh. Deja vu?
Jack. Yeah. What a strange feeling!
