A fear of dirty hair. When one cannot have dirty hair without feeling anxious and filthy. Trichophobia doesn’t only occur with ones own hair but it is also with others. For instance when other people’s hair touches them it makes them uncomfortable.

I need to go wash my hair it can’t be dirty I will freak out as I have trichophobia

Head-hair arousal may come from seeing or touching very long or short hair, wet hair, certain colors of hair or a particular hairstyle. Pubic hair fetishism is a particular form of hair fetishism.
