When a guy pours peppermint essential oil on his thumb and sticks it up his partners butt. He then extracts his thumb and rubs it underneath his partners nose and across the upper lip.
Nickname for Pound Ridge, NY. Used by most every teen in town (although probably mostly males), it refers NOT to everyone being filthy rich, as that is only a VERY small percentage. And those dudes probably don't know it's even called The Dirty. Was developed originally because there is nowhere to hang but the reservation and reservoirs, and the kids would come homefilthy dirty. Was adopted primarily as a word of pride from the local boys, because not only were they not afraid of getting filthy and lost in the woods, they kept their filthy secrets SECRET. What happens in The Dirty, stays in The Dirty. A Bedford guy will never be as cool as one from The Dirty Ridge. Just a fact.
A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
