There are a number of technohippies on the World Wide Web. After much debate, the general consensus is that a technohippie is someone who possess both the desire and ability to use the Internet as a tool for positive change.

technohippy 

1. a computer nerd with hippy ideals

2. there are cyberpunks and script kiddies, but technohippies are a breed of their own. they are not malacious, but only interested in the way things work. usually not the "l33test", (in terms of knowledge of a specific area), but they have a broad wisdom of many different technologies. the favored music of the technohippy consists of (but is not limited to): post-rock, electronica, ambience, eccentric cultural music, and any other obscure music. technohippies are often very philosophical, but are open to new ideas (as long as they are somewhat intelligent). ignorance and hatred is looked down upon by the technohippy, and some may even be a bit cynical. all in all, a technohippy is a philisophically-open eccentric geek.

Techno Hippie 

A term used for someone who likes the technology of 'their' present. but doesn't like the idea of consuming both 'lots of resources' and 'chemicals into their bodies'.

some one who believes both technology and nature can live in harmony, but also believe that people just need to give them both a chance.

"Let technology live on but lets use the knowledge of our ancestors to keep us going." this is often what a Techno Hippie would say.

techno hippie 

a modern version of the 60's stereotype, the techno hippie is left wing idealist,usually university educated, in a low income job, has multiple tattos, piercings and strange muilt-colured hair styles.

socially, the techno hippie attends out-door festivals and illegal rave parties, where large ammounts of drugs are consumed.
also spends much time playing computergames and surfing, both the net and waves.

A hipster employed in tech industry or a tech startup, usually in San Francisco or New York.

1. Those technohipsters have basically ruined this neighborhood in San Francisco by making it non-affordable.

2. Look at all those technohipsters lining up at that new expensive brunch place!
3. Because of all these technohipsters working with their laptops, I can never get a seat at this cafe.
