It is intented to sound catchy , a good way for people to know they have the correct person if they know their full name, the name is usually not taken and they think they are really cool! It sucks though when said user gets divorced and no longer wants any parts of the last name, but they are stuck with it because they are Id'ed on 5,000 websites !!
