A super blue blood
moon happens when a super
moon, when the moon is closest in it's orbit to the Earth and it is 26% bigger and 30% brighter, a blue moon, the second full moon of a month and has nothing to do with the color, and a blood moon, which is a complete lunar eclipse which causes the moon to appear red, coincide.
A super blue blood moon is coming up on January 31st of
2018. The most recent one happened over 150 years, and will not happen again for an extremely long time.
People in Alaska, the Hawaiian islands, the western US, the Middle East, Asia, eastern
Russia, Australia, and New Zealand
will have the best view of this amazing event.
