Contrary to what has been written, straight edge - see also straightedge and sxe - people do often have premarital sex (though some do not), but abstain from casual sex without a committed relationship and/or deep emotional bond with the person they are having sex with.

1. No Drugs
2. No Premarital sex (apposed to no promiscuous sex)
3. No Alcohol
4. NOT every CSE kid is a self-righteous jerk.
(YES, we still have a good time. We just party sober, oh and that stupid myth that Christians can't have tattoos is ridiculous. Were usually covered.)

Get the Christian Straight Edge mug.A person who is straight-edge,but " breaks edge" by drinking, smoking, or doing drugs, then in turn wishes to become straight-edge again, must commit to sobriety for one whole year to then become full straight-edge once more. Also this person must be under 21 to be reborn and over 21 is considered straight-edge renewed but this requires three years of committing to sobriety.

It is a choice and it does not make you better or worse than anyone. We all make choices and some choose to be straight edge and some don't. Yes, it's true that some people will stop being sXe when they turn 21 but that is just another choice. Straight Edge is a way of life but has now been formed into a trend. Out there, there are true edgers.
