Stomping Grounds 

Area where one hangs out and/or resides. Origin is fuzy. Stomping or stompin' may refer to actual bushing out of entruders by stomping but today it is more of a reference to walking (stoping your feet). Hence, where one frequently hangs out and is seen. Everyone has stompin' grounds more or less.
"These are my old stomping grounds where is used to ride my motorcycle, frequently get hastled by the police and hang out in local bars"

Stomping Grounds 

A dangerous territory or "turf" that one (or a few) is/are currently in possession of. Should a hostile enter the vicinity of the stomping grounds, they will be stomped upon.
"Where I lounge is my stomping grounds."

A place where you are constantly known to keep going back too, usually in the your hometown that you grew up in; Whether it be with friends or by yourself.
If you're bored, just go to your stomping grounds with your friends.

Typically used as a reference to the block you live on the or the neighborhood you live in.
"Aye cuz!!! Where you from? "
"Oh I'm off the Zae, dawg."
"Oh word? That shit used to be my Stompin Grounds fam!!"

Stompin' Grounds 

Stompin' grounds is like the neighborhood you grew up in- or an area where you hang out/party with your friends.
"The southwest side of town is my old stompin' grounds."

trucker's tan 

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.
