South Oak Cliff 

South Oak Cliff, TX, aka the Soc (pronounced SOCK) is a hood in the city of Oak Cliff, Tx near Dallas. The boundaries are Illinois Avenue, Duncanville Road, Trinity River and I-20. Soc is one of the worst parts of Oak Cliff, includin East Oak Cliff, West Oak Cliff, Central Oak Cliff and a little bit of the Noc (North Oak Cliff).

'Hoods everybody in the Soc knows are Kiest 'n' Polk, Fruitdale (Village Oaks), Western Park, Kimballdale, Glendale, Kiest Park, Red Bird, Rugged Park, Cedar Crest and a whole lotta other places. Oak Cliff niggas call theyselves Gorillas.

South Oak Cliff is the southernmost part of Dallas. It runs along highway 67 between North Oak Cliff and Duncanville/Desoto. This area is not to be confused with South Dallas, which is the area surrounding Fair Park.

This is an area that has seen some good development recently, with nice new homes and shopping near the 67/I-20 intersection, thanks to the African American Pastor's Coalition who took the first steps.

South Oak Cliff is a nice place to live.
