Ashton Shoffner
Ashton Shoffner is someone who sticks out in a crowd of people. They typically don't have the best first impression, but once you get to know them, you'll come to see that they are very caring even if they try to hide it. They are very sincere with their opinions and don't like to be proved wrong, but will try to hide the fact they are aggravated. Ashton will be one of the most caring, authentic people you'll ever meet. He likes to give the impression he doesn't care about the little or big things, but in reality, he cares about it all. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
