While in English you say Hi and Bye, in Thai we say sawaddee for both.

A: Sawaddee krab/ka. May I speak to Jane, please?

A: Ok. I'll see you tomorrow. Sawaddee krab/ka.

NB Krab is for male speakers and ka is for female speakers.
