rincewind

The most popular character of Terry Pratchett's ever fabulous Discworld series. The hottest wizard ever, who gets rather confused with the whole relationship/attraction thing. When he sees a pretty woman he anticipates her making him mashed potatoes. He is always getting caught in disasterous situations, and has a pointy wizard hat that says "wizzard" on it.

"Luck is my middle name," said Rincewind, "Mind you my first is Bad."

That smell you get after rain.
After it rains, I always love the smell.

Yeah, the rinsewind is always refreshing.

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
