Rantgential

A Tangential Rant. A long and unfocused diatribe on the current conventional wisdom surrounding the topic de jour. It should regularly spin off course and touch broadly on all the cardinal points of philosophy, dogma, fact and opinion no matter how contradictory.

Upon closer inspection and dissection however is revealed for what it is, the ramblings of a mad person with zero cohesive context, but at the time of delivery it is espoused with such passion and authority, and such fluid jumps of logic and poetic intertextuality between concepts, that the recipient actually feels it makes sense.
Later, upon mature reflection, the recipient cannot recreate any of the tortuous and twisted mobius strip argument path used and so are left with an underlying and niggling belief that is was true. They can't clarify anything with the deliverer of the Rantgential as they have moved on to the next Ivory tower windmill and can only focus (briefly) on that now. A favoured tool of conspiracy theorists and cult leaders and fathers.
Man! Dad had a Rantgential at me the other day for an hour, I cant remember quite what he said but am pretty sure he was right.
