(poo-checks) pl. noun. the hairy areas on the back of the neck that tend to grow faster than the rest of the head. more typically seen in shorter hairdos on males. derived from the high school teacher of the same name who inspired mocking teens to trim these rapidly growing hair patches more frequently.

A term used by hockey fans to quantify the value of a player. The team that owns the rights to a player worth a bag of pucks, would be happy to trade that player for the smallest return possible.
