Feeling shame or embarassment for another person when they don't seem to have the sense to be embarassed by their own actions or words.

There is a word in German, "FREMDSCHÄMMEN" which means the same thing, however, I noticed a niche that needed to be filled for English speakers.

There are so many eejits on Britain's Got Talent, that I feel myself in a constant state of proxyshame whilst watching.
