ad verb. to shop pre emptively before actually having the money. Similar to pre gaming before going out, its the preperation for the event of getting paid. Pre shopping can consist of online shopping cart filling, pressing the "buy now, bill later" feature, putting mass quantities of clothing on hold at your favorite stores, and spending your future paycheck in your head. Obsessively.
"Dude, I know I dont have the job but I've been pre shopping the salary all night!"

Preshopping 

Accompanying a gift purchaser to a store prior to the actual purchase of gifts as a way to ensure desired gifts are purchased and avoid mishaps on the actual day of celebration. The "recipient" selects, tries on, and gives priority rating to a selection of merchandise. The "gift buyer" writes down all details of selected merchandise; size, color, priority, etc. and goes back unaccompanied at a later date to purchase gifts.
Susan's friends think her husband has esp, but the truth is she took him preshopping prior to Christmas. As a result, Christmas night was romantic and not a debacle.
