3. A seismic analyst that you're pretty sure has a "list" and will show up to work someday with an arsenal of weapons and a thirst for for the blood of those who relentlessly give him crap.

Chess term. Putting Pressure on the Pinned piece. When you put pressure (attack, fork etc) on a piece pinned to another piece.
