when two people haven't been talking long enough or serious enough to say that they're actually "talking". This is the stage when you only have the other persons snap or instagram and have been conversing for a very short time. Maybe a day or two. You move from the onit stage to the talking stage when a hangout has been established.

also "on it". Commonly used expression in New Zealand (and possible Australia) which means to be drinking alcohol. Similar to the phrase "on the piss" which is often abbreviated to OTP.
