oakland county

located in southeast michigan. easily one of the richest counties in the country. cities like Bloomfield Hills and Troy (where i'm from) are home to some of the most snobby people ever, where snobbyness is pretty much taught in the amazing public schools although most people would rather waste their money and send their kids to one of the many overpriced private schools. all of the gay kids here frequently say "oakland county - the real O.C." which is probably a true statement because the only thing we have more of than money is drama. we are all about drugs because we dont know what else to buy with the money our parents give us and finding a virgin in our high schools is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. oakland county is home to an amazing number of preps but also a growing number of emo kids who have no real problems other than not getting exactly what they want from their parents. i can only hope that the oakland county youth realizes someday that they are very fortunate and understand that life isn't like this everywhere else in the world.
I can't wait to get out of Oakland County and meet some normal people.

oakland county

Oakland County: Located in southeast michigan, where drugs, sex, and alcohol are a vital part of reality. Where kids learn superficiality in both the amazing public schools and the overpriced private acadamies, where you can charge a slice of pizza on plastic, spend your weekends at Somerset and on Old Woodward, where there are more country clubs than supermarkets and more hookah bars than gas stations. The houses wrap around entire streets, porche driving soccer moms pop their collars, and nobody even cares about the west coast (although the summer homes are nice). It's where the only thing we have more of than money is drama, where kids are all about drugs because they don't know what else to buy, and where finding a virgin in the high schools is like finding a needle in a haystack, where we drink faygo pop, drive GM, Ford, and Chrysler cars, eat Better Made potato Chips, and go to Windsor on the weekends, just because we can.

Only the oakland county girls can pull off an east-coast tailgate and then actually understand the football game.

Oakland County

A virtual suburban waste land filled with wealthy and arrogant baby boomer fucktards who think they're located in the land of Oz and really hate anything that remotely resembles true urbanism. The dictator is L. Brooks Paterson, whose only mission is to destroy the city of Detroit and rob it of any prosperity.

oakland county

A county in southeast Michigan that is supposedly the second richest county in America, and is reknowned for being overly snobby and preppy.

I can almost sympathize with this definition, that is, if it was entirely true, as I live in the NOT so preppy part, a.k.a the nearly shitty ghetto area thats on the edge of East Detroit.

Other than the MAJOR demographic differences of the county (closer you get to Detroit, the population of Caucasians decreases) and economics (the closer you get to Detroit, the shittier the environment gets), everything about the sex and drugs is pretty much the same.
Take it from someone who lives in one of the crappier areas of Oakland County: it not what it's all cracked up to be. No pun intended.

The word 'flag' as pronounced by people with thick Belfast accents. The term is a perfect encapsulation of the disproportionate and overblown reaction to the removal of the Union Jack (as in 'de fleg') from above City Hall in Belfast. Where previously it had flown for 365 days per year, it is now flown on 17 designated days of the year - in line with many other British cities.

The event caused a portion of the Protestant community ('fleggers') to make international pricks of themselves as they proceeded to wreck the fucking place, claiming it was another erosion of a 'British' identity they perceive to have been under attack since the horrifying spectre of equality reared its head in Northern Ireland.

The word 'fleg' - and indeed 'fleggers' - fittingly describes a section of humanity unconcerned with knowledge, reality or the vagaries of the English language. Like America's tea-baggers they are ruled by instinct, fear and paranoia with a side dish of rampant bigotry and startling ignorance of the world around them.
"Wat de fuck like! The taigs got de fleg took down! Let's wreck de fuckin place! No surrender!"

"De fleg has been took down! Before ye know it there'll be a united Ireland! Attack Short Strand! God Save The Queen!"
