Not A Relationship

Usually referred to as a NAR.
Pronounced: gnar as in the first half of gnarly

Def: When 2 people are seeing one another on a regular basis for a lengthy amount of time they usually can be give the title. This couple will act as if they are in a relationship, but will not call each other “boyfriend/girlfriend,” but may use pet names such as “honey, baby, snookums, ect”

This word can be used up to the extreme of 2 people cohabitating for many years, having kids, mixing bank accounts; at this point it would be referred as a Not A Marriage.
Patrick: Ruby and Zeph are always together, they are hanging out all the time. I think he is taking her to Thanksgiving dinner!
Sheena: So are they an item?
Patrick: No, its just a NAR (Not A Relationship)! I asked them about it last night.

not in a relationship relationship

When a person you are interested in doesn't give any fucking sign/clue that she/he is in a relationship. FUCK
So then you spend a lot of time trying to get with them, BUT they are already in a goddamn relationship.
Me: Hey can you help me with something, there's this girl you know. I really like her

Friend of the person I am trying to get with:
Ohh, she's taken

Me: Well frick, why doesn't she at least have one picture of them together, so that I don't waste my time, or potentially get face beaten in.

Friend of the person I am trying to get with:
Well, that's not her problem, you should have known.

Me: wtf, HOW?

Friend of the person I am trying to get with:
Idk.

Me: So you are saying she is in not in a relationship relationship

I'm not ready for a relationship

Translation: You are annoying and our interactions need to end immediately.

Uttered when a person realizes a dating partner is not worth it/crazy. A form of "it's not you, it's me." A lie to quickly end things without hurting the other person's feelings. Often has the opposite effect as the other party may engage in manipulative techniques to avoid a break up. Smooth as butter when it works.
Scenario 1
Person A: Hey I know we've been seeing each other for a while but after a lot of thinking, I'm not ready for a relationship.

Person 2: Oh I see. Well I guess I'll see you around. Thanks for letting me know.

Scenario 2
Person A: Hey I know we've been seeing each other for a while but after a lot of thinking, I'm not ready for a relationship.

Person B: What do you mean? *Insert 3 hours of bs*

Person A: I'm sorry I can't talk about this anymore. *Blocks person B*

Serial Monogamist

Someone who jumps from one relationship immediately into another one.

Serial monogamists can not stand to be alone and often suffer from vast commitment and insecurity issues.

Because they jump into relationships immediately after the previous one has ended, serial monogamists typically don't take the time to reflect on their behavior or why their previous relationships failed; thus, they end up making the same relationship mistakes over and over again.
Person 1: Damn, Dustin already has a new girlfriend?! It's only been two weeks since he broke up with his fiance! I think he's a sociopath.

Person 2: No, he's a serial monogamist...
