Noraiman

Noraiman is an extended name of the name Aiman, usually inserted due to normal naming culture in Malaysia. Nor can also be spelt as 'Nur' in different locations in Malaysia, which can contribute to different spelling but actually the same name Nuraiman.

'Nor' in itself is generic and can be used in many full names such as Embung Mat Nor, Rosyam Nor, and many other names, but Noraiman is unique where both names are usually in one word by default. Nor is similar to the word Nur which means Light, that originated from the Arabian/Islamic culture.

From the Malaysian's long standing conformity, males' names tend to use the word Nor instead of Nur, as Nur is usually associated with feminity and females' names. For example, Rosyam Nor is an obviously male, while Nur Hamidah is obviously a female.
