The act of pushing ideas of lesser-known activities, content, or media onto others in order to influence them into engaging in those activities, content, or medias.

The opposite of a gatekeeper, but more obnoxious.

"I'm getting into Touhou, but I hope I don't come off too much as a nichepeddler."
