lying flat

Lying flat refers to a defeatist lifestyle in Chin, where people stop working, desiring material acquisition, and tap out of any social life – sometimes for good. By lying flat, young people are participating in a kind of non-cooperation movement, rather than surrendering themselves to China's oppressive work culture where they see little hope of social mobility.
I’m not going to try to get a better job so I can afford to start a family, I’m just lying flat.

lying flat

Lying flat refers to a defeatist lifestyle where people stop working, desiring material acquisition, and tap out of any social life, sometimes for good while thinking it's for the better. By lying flat, you or other people participate in a kind of non-cooperation movement within your or their own life, rather than surrendering themselves to the modern world's oppressive work culture, where it's easy to see see little hope of social mobility within daily life, or any mobility in life at all. This is a common cause of suicide among adults, or among teens with too much responsibility with no freedom
1. I’m not going to try to get a better job so I can afford to start a family, I’m just lying flat
2. It just seems worthless at the moment, so I'm lying flat at the moment
3. I started lying flat, and now I'm at risk of going homeless
4. I don't know what I'm gonna do, I think I'll by lying flat all too soon
5. I'm not getting paid enough, I might as well be lying flat
(Too many examples?)

The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”

An Irish phrase meaning shit, derived from ass
(Not to be confused with the literal description of one's buttocks)
"Did you hear the song Aylek$ dropped?"
"Hardly. Her music is absolute cheeks."

"My boyfriend say LaFlame is cheeks."
"Tell your boyfriend I said it's his mixtape that's cheeks."
