A child born to parents of different races, such as a half white/half black, or half white/half Asian, half white/half Mexican, half white/half Puerto Rican, etc. Best used to describe a mulatto child (half white/half black) because of its deriving from a swirl ice cream cone (vanilla/chocolate); however, in today's age, it can be used to describe any mixed-breed offspring, or as it is called in modern times, bi-racial child.
I called Jennifer's kid a little swirl because he's half white & half black.
