The only difference is most of thé typical instruments, which include:
Acoustic Guitar, accordion, tanbou, maracas, lamellophone, bass, banza, graj scraper, Tcha tcha, beatboxing are now replaced with Modern synthesizers, Drum machines, Keyboard/Keytar, Electric guitar, Bass guitar, Drums, Vocaloid, Auto-Tune, Personal computer, Sequencers, DAW, Backing track sound effects.and Vocals.
The coolest thing with Kompadou music is that NOW old school bands And musians can go back to songs they had recorded before and rerecord them as new Singles, EPs, LPs or entire albums where each song is performed in a different tune or style.
