habitualize 

To get one or more individuals to make a specific behavior a habit.
Children are "habitualized" to watch television, brush their teeth, read. Teenagers are "habitualized" to smoke cigarettes, drink alcoholic beverages, watch movies, engage in casual sexual intercourse. Young adults are "habitualized" to drink coffee. Adults (specially in the United States of America) are "habitualized" to overwork, overconsume, hoard money and other things.
