A whimsical term used to describe something completely unexpected or absurd in a given situation. Often used to refer to a completely random or mysterious event that defies explanation.
It can also be used as a verb.
Grobeldobelgobel (verb)
To turn an ordinary situation into something chaotic, confusing, or hilariously nonsensical.

To take something small, that doesn't quite qualify as a theft. Probably from the Danish "skæv" or the Dutch "scheef", both of which are pronounced similarly, meaning "askew, or not quite right'. To change an item's ownership without permission, but only something small and of little worth.
