grid bias

Electrical voltage placed on control grid of a vacuum tube. Determines the level at which electrical action takes place in the tube for purposes of amplification, rectification, relaying, switching or other functions. Sometimes used to describe levels of anger or frustration.
Calm down; don't let your grid bias get out of control.
