When surfing the channels, you click on a show that starts in a couple minutes. But the schedule has already switched to the next half hours programming, leaving you with the info for the future show.

Guy 1: Hey look! Wizards of Waverly Place and Selena Gomez's statutory hot ass!
Guy 2: Dude, Suite Life of Zack and Cody is still on for 3 fucking minutes...what a clocktease. The info says they are blowing each other for 25 minutes.

Locktease

noun
1. A phenomenon that occurs in video games where treasure is visible but not attainable yet.

Origin: Penny Arcade, 2013. A portmanteau of the words "Lock" and "Cocktease".

"Have you played that new game AdventureQuest 4?"

"Yeah, but it's driving me crazy. Every time I turn a corner there's a treasure chest I can't reach because I'm not a high enough level yet! That game is such a locktease."

The person you ask what time it is and they purposely tell you the wrong time just to mess with you.

It's 3:00 on a work day and you get off at 4:00 .
You forget your watch or phone and are wondering what time it is. You ask someone for the time and they clocktease you and say it's 3:50
