Enlightened English Teacher Syndrome

The more an english teacher preaches living life and talks about it, the more work s/he seems to give and the less s/he seems to have lived life.
English Teacher: Class, go home this weekend and write a ten page report about carpe diem.
Class: Fuck! She's got Enlightened English Teacher Syndrome

Enlightened Asshole

A thoughtful, compassionate individual whose words and / or actions are indistinguishable from those of a self-centered idiot.
EXAMPLE 1:
That guy is such an enlightened asshole sometimes! He calls himself a friend, but seems to think that it is funny that I am loosing my job at BP and will have to go back to teaching. I hate my job, but that doesn't mean that I was ready to look for another one!

EXAMPLE 2:
Every day when I get off work -- all I want is a cold beer or two, but my girlfriend has to ask shit like "Does beer really make you happy?"... sure it makes me happy... for about an hour... damn, she can be such an enlightened asshole sometimes.

EXAMPLE 3:
My vegetarian co-worker had point out that there was "dead animals" in my chinese chicken salad today -- that enlightened asshole ruined my appetite!

EXAMPLE 4:
(a statement which might be attributed to an enlightened asshole)
"Yes, the hurricane destroyed most of the city, but perhaps the survivors will have an opportunity to start fresh and make positive changes in their life."

EXAMPLE 5:
(a statement which might be attributed to an enlightened asshole)
"Littering is not bad... creating trash however is destroying the earth. Perhaps we should let trash fall on the streets rather than allowing it to be hidden inside trash bins and landfills. This would at least remind us all daily of the destruction we are taking part in."

Enlightened Centrist

When someone claims to be a moderate or a centrist due to a belief that both sides of the political spectrum are unreasonable or extreme. Typically used in a negative connotation.
Person 1: I refuse to join a political party because the left and the right have BOTH gone insane!
Person 2: Oh God, you're such an enlightened centrist...

Nobody knows how to become one and to date there are no tutorials online how to aquire the skill set in a short period of time. Some say it takes at least 15 years online experience to become one.

Version 2, noun: moment of sudden inner enlightenment where you smirk in the glory of realizing something greater and beyond the grasp of other people. So you just sit there in silence, smug and enlightened.
Verb: To shut someone up with superior intellect and far deeper knowledge of trolling

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.
