That guy at the theater who tears your ticket and then tell you what theater to sit your fat ass in so you can spill your pop-corn and leave your coke for him to clean up, only to take revenge by putting his lice in your head rest you lazy bitch. Down the hall, 4th door on the , thats the hand that makes an L.

Some guy who holds the door open for a really pretty girl, but then sees a bunch of people follow her. He keeps holding the door for everyone for five minutes because he's too nice to stop holding the door and he doesn't want to appear sexist.

I saw Amanda leaving class, so I opened the door for her. But then everyone else came and I held the door open for them too... I am a doorman.

doorman discretion 

That immense amount of power conferred upon one without commensurate knowledge, experience, or understanding, such that, in effect, the village idiot ends up holding the keys to the U.S. nuclear arsenal, or worse, won't let you into your own office building so you can finish working on that one document that will define the rest of your career and is due tomorrow morning.

I apologize for not filing that brief brief with the supreme court on time, but I was the victim of doorman discretion.

Doorman Dash 

When someone a dozen steps ahead of you holds the door open and you have to walk quickly so they don't have to wait for you - the result being that it would have been more convenient to just open the door yourself.

Whenever I go into the parking garage after work someone ahead of me holds the door open and I have to do the doorman dash.
