A car that passes you on the freeway driving much faster than you (and the speed limit). By pacing this car at a distance, speed traps along your route will catch the other driver instead of you.

A car passes you on the highway, doing 10-15mph better than your speed.

Passenger: Hey, why are you speeding up? you trying to catch him?
Driver: Nope, found a cop cleaner (bird dog) to flush out the speed traps!
