coinus boinus

adj A term to describe something heavily hyped and promoted that ultimately turns out to be a scam, or at least heavily embellished for the sake of convincing people to buy in; similar to "smoke and mirrors" or "snake oil." Popular examples: Theranos, Fyre Festival, NFTs, Elon Musk, MoviePass

noun 1. A bad faith offer of opportunity, especially pertaining to financial gain; specifically the essential quality of lacking a realistic foundation.
2. The intrinsically fictive nature of any societal construct so deeply ingrained in contemporary society that many if not most people don’t realize that it is simply a thing that someone made up and not an immutable law of nature, especially one that exists in service of legitimizing systems of power (eg. money, borders, social hierarchy, etc)
Anyone with any actual technical knowledge knows that Elon's entire reputation is all just coinus boinus.

Walter told everyone that his NFT series of kittens dressed like famous WWII figures would be the next big thing and net them millions, but it soon proved to be a whole bunch of coinus boinus after he ran off with their money.

They hide it well behind a façade of expensive suits and smart-sounding jargon, but doesn’t take much digging to realize that the modern field of economics is really just the study of coinus boinus

Breadhead

Someone who is addicted to obtaining money and building wealth. A money addict and fanatic. Breadheads often work more than one full-time job, and some even participate in illicit activities to "obtain the bread".
A breadhead is like a crackhead, but for money instead of crack.

As seen in illustrations or cartoons: Wavy, vertical lines rising above a person, place or thing. Denotes a foul odor.

schmegegge

Yiddish slang word meaning bullshit, baloney, hogwash, nonsense, crock of shit or hot air.
I don't buy the schmegegge about Morty sleeping with Moira.
His version of the story was pure schmegegge.
The whole schmegegge was made up to get Liz a little bit of attention.

eye bleach

Looking or experiencing something nice after witnessing something horrid like a disgusting gif or a disturbing video. Typically used as eye bleach are nice images of whatever makes the disturbed person happy.
"Bleach my eyes! Why is that woman's face ripped off!?"
*Looks up images of puppies and kittens.*
"That's good eye bleach."

Noun. Portmanteau of "street" and "road": it describes a street, er, road, built for high speed, but with multiple access points. Excessive width is a common feature. A common feature in suburbia, especially along commercial strips. Unsafe at any speed, their extreme width and straightness paradoxically induces speeding. Somewhat more neutral than synonymous traffic sewer.
Did you see what the traffic engineers want to do to our street? They're going to turn it into a total stroad!
