I'm fairly sure this was Homestar's failed mimicry of Strong Bad deleting e-mail in the Strong Bad e-mail episode where he leaves and Homestar comes into the room and cannot figure out the word "deleted".

First popularized by user "ghaleon" on Blurty.com (and on other boards frequented by this individual) to describe the suspensions of asshats and n00bz, following the fiftieth Strong Bad email on Homestarrunner.com.
