banktrumpcy

When a particularly evil person or corporation finally gets their come-uppance in the form of losing clout, finances, assets, reputation or credibility, especially losing something where it hurts them most or where they were most determined to succeed or to claim success.

Popularised when Donald J. Trump, known for claiming to be wealthier than independent financial evaluations showed, whose only off-limit joke at his comedy central roast in 2011 was any implication that he was less rich than he claimed, lost the support of his accounting firm Mazars in 2022 who declared it could no longer vouch for the financial statements it had compiled for Trump over the past decade, prompting a lot of news and social media speculation that he was on the verge of bankruptcy and to reflect on the irony of this as his personal kryptonite.
Person 1: "I hate how our supervisor is always lying to the boss, taking credit for our work, throwing us under the bus and stepping on us to climb the ladder.
Person 2: "He finally got caught out and is facing an investigation - they want to see all his nonexistent paperwork! His best outlook is being demoted so he'll actually be reporting to us!"
Person 1: "That's not just karma that's banktrumpcy!"

"Did you hear? That evil corporation finally went banktrumpt!"

"Ah, so much banktrumpcy. folks, so much. You're gonna get to hear about banktrumpcy so much you're gonna get sick of banktrumpcy... So much. YOU know. Ten, fifteen times a day. 📉"
