1. adj. - describes techniques, styles or persons considered unsophisticated, outdated, amatuer, lame, ineffective, uneducated, ignorant, moronic and otherwise just not the best solution or hippest situation.

ie. a backwards ass way of doing things, These freaks still had this backwardass shrine to Elvis in their family room with the obligatory black velvet painting and everything, because they thought that was so "cool".
