Short for "accidentally celibate".

Unlike incels, who can't find anyone to have sex with, and volcels, who just don't want to have sex, an axcel totally could and does want to have sex, but for some reason they keep forgetting to do it.

Musical artist Moby was an axcel for at least 6 years because he said he just wanted to hang out with his dog. Sounds believable.

I was an axcel in college because I double majored in math and applied mathematics.
