Arline is a beautiful, wonderful person you will know. Once you meet an Arline it will be hard to forget her. She’s the type of girl who catches your eye at first sight. She’s beautiful, smart and kind once you get to know her. At first she comes across as a bitch, but once you break through she’s the sweetest and funniest person you’ll ever meet. She never fails to light up a room when she laughs or/and mostly when she makes a fool of herself. She knows where she stands in situations and will not let people walk over her and her friends. She’s one of the most valuable friends you could ever have as she’s always going to be there for you, make you smile and will always be honest and gives the best advice.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
