She's so beautiful inside and out. She makes everybody in the room's jaw drop the second she walks in. She will never understand how beautiful she is, but I really wish she would, because it hurts that someone so gorgeous sees themselves as anything less. If anyone she's friends with and even complete strangers say one thing bad about themselves she automatically tried to make you feel better and tells you it's not true. She has the most adorable curly hair, although she doesn't like it at times. She makes everyone happy deep down and I really wish she knew how much I cared for her. And how much I honestly love her. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
