Amapiano is a musical genre that originated in South Africa. It is a sub-component of House music that is characterized by a hybrid of deep house, jazz, and lounge music. It is easily distinguishable by synths, airy pads, and wide basslines.

Amapiano is loosely translated to "the pianos", is a subgenre of house music that emerged in South Africa in the mid-2010s. It is a hybrid of deep house, jazz, and lounge music characterised by synths and wide percussive basslines.

In the Urban landscape, it means "So Good" and is meant as a compliment to the beauty of another person, place or thing.
