A woup can also used to describe a group of girls that you can get with or date thus you like hanging out with them. When a girl dates someone else or gets with someone else, to some she will not be in their woup anymore and thus placed in your noup.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.
