Walmart Wolverine

A fan of the University of Michigan who has never attended the school and roots for them while wearing one or more of the following:

-$5.00 Michigan shirt bought at Wal-Mart
-Mullet
-NASCAR hat
-Hunting clothes
"YEAH MAN! GO BLUE!!!"
"Who's that?"
"Oh ignore him, he never went here. He's a Walmart Wolverine"
Words you can keep

Walmart Wolverine

Toothless, overweight trailer park denizens who have found some small semblance of life purpose through an artificial affinity to the University of Michigan sports program, particularly football. Primarily high school dropouts and meth addicts, these miscreants come clad in bright blue and corn-colored costumes meant to advertise their allegiance to a school they've never attended nor seen beyond the parking lot trash bin they puked in on tailgate Saturday. Fond of denigrating other colleges for supposed inferior academics, the Walmart Wolverine is a rare example of the undereducated aping the customs of the snobbish "elite."
Yeah, he hates Michigan State, but don't worry, he's just a burger-flipping Walmart Wolverine with a GED from Costco.

Walmart Wolverine

A term used toward Michigan fans. This term states that you must have gone to the school you are rooting for. This is very flawed in many ways. Reason 1: that means no one under college age is allowed to cheer on any college football team. Reason 2: College is not for everyone. For instance people in the military serving overseas with no college are not allowed to root for any one in college football. Reason 3:College cost money so not everyone can afford to go to a school like Michigan.
See that guy over there, I think I’m better then him because I’m an elitist pig. He was in the military and served his country but didn’t go to the college or the university that he is rooting for. He is a Walmart Wolverine.

Walmart Wolverine

A term used by Michigan State fans after The Wolverines win a sporting match. It is primarily used out of jealousy and desperation when Spartan fans realize that they support a second rate sports team and a third rate university. There is no greater compliment a Spartan fan could give to a Wolverine fan.
I can't believe State lost again. Remember when we beat Michigan that one time, two years ago. Lets go yell at these Walmart Wolverines.

wal-mart wolverine

A fan of the Michigan Wolverines who has absolutely no affiliation to the university. They, usually lacking a college education, tend to have low-end jobs and therefore buy their Michigan apparel from Wal-Mart. Using said goods, they inflate their own egos with the historical successes of the Michigan football team, mistakenly believing themselves to be better than any fans of Michigan's arch-rivals, Ohio State or Michigan State. Being that most of these fans have a college education, and have a much better job and life than the Michigan fan, they are in fact far more superior than this fan. When the Wolverines do poorly, this person's ego is destroyed to the point where their existence becomes so pitiful that they will never, ever get laid.
Steve is such a Wal-Mart Wolverine, he thinks he's better than my son, a MSU graduate.

Wal-Mart Wolverine

Someone who roots for the Michigan Wolverines but never went to the school. There is no way possible that every fan of every school is an actual alumnus of that school. Michigan is picked out because both Wal-Mart and Wolverine start with W.
But the fact remains, the bigger the school, the more “Wal-Mart” fans there are from that school.

Also, if one has to attend the school they root for then most military personal, children under 18, and people who did no attend a FBS schools would not be able to root for any team in 99% of televised college football games. This term is elitist.

Also spelled Walmart Wolverine
Bob is from Michigan and was in the military serving his country in Iraq. He bought a Michigan Wolverine shirt and his friends picked on him and called him a “Wal-Mart Wolverine because he did not attend Michigan. I guess he should have gone to the State college that accepts everyone.

Wal-Mart Wolverine

An overly zealous University of Michigan football fan who never attended the university (probably never went to school past high school), nor has any affiliation in any way to the school. They wear all the U-M apparel you can buy at your local Wal-Mart.
